Men charged after diesel siphoning equipment found

Two men have been charged after three were arrested for going equipped for theft in Aylesbury.

The suspects were arrested just after midnight on Thursday in Nether Winchendon. Two suspicious vehicles were reported to have been seen on the driveway of a farm.

Soon after police stopped a vehicle nearby and found what was believed to be diesel siphoning equipment and six 25-litre drums. Mantas Baksys, 21, from Essex, has been charged with one count of going equipped for theft and one count of failing to comply with notification requirements under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

Edgaras Damofejevas, 22, also from Essex, has been charged with one count of going equipped to commit theft.

Both men are appearing at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court this morning.

A 23-year-old man also from Essex was arrested on suspicion of going equipped and has been released on police bail until March 13.

Police officers are currently searching for a fourth man in connection with the incident.
